Title Sequence

 This will be a blog on the film's opening title sequence. We didn't go as far as other films, 

most notably Star Wars, but we still came up with a fairly nice title sequence, in my view. 

We all agreed that we should choose America typewriter as the typeface because it 

looked the nicest. We looked at times new roman, calibri, and sitka heading as well, but 

none of them had the same cinematic feel to them, so we passed on them. The only one 

that was unusual was the main title, which we utilized Didot font for.

We chose white for the font color since it was dull and not very brilliant at the start, 

and we didn't want to use black or any common hue. White was the brightest and most 

visible of all the hues we looked at, which included red, grey, and green. We wanted to 

use grey since it is a gloomy and sad movie, and it is a drab hue, but it was only slightly 

less brilliant than white, so we all concluded that white would be the best because it 

shines out and there was a time in the film where grey wouldn't really be apparent.

Except for the title of the picture, the general size of the text for all of the titles was 

modest, but large enough for the viewer to read without difficulty, and it was out of 

the way. It was also on the screen for a brief period of time, but not so short that you 

couldn't read it. The film title, on the other hand, was considerably larger and was put in 

the center of the screen, with a much larger size than the other titles. It also lingered 

for a few seconds longer than the others.

Finally, the titles displayed in a fade in/fade out style, and we just modified the orientation 

of some of them, so they don't all look the same, with some growing increasingly larger. 

Only the main title was unusual, in that the letters appeared first, stayed on screen for a 

few seconds, and then faded away like the rest of the title.
