SOUND POST !

 For the sound part of our project I was able to incorporate a lot of  diegetic sounds but not 

much of non-diegetic, for the most part we can hear the music from joel’s headphones he 

was listening to a song that he personally related to which allows the audience to sympathize 

with him more.

The diegetic sounds came from Joel’s headphones majority of the time but we can also hear it 

in parts where the teachers speaks and when we woke up in the morning and brushed his teeth, 

when joel was walking to the bathroom I added a loud thumping noise to allow the audience to 

hear him walking more clearly. We also used the lavalier microphone to make the sounds that 

much more audible and crisp, that was one of the favorite tools I used to improve our film.

The non-diegetic sounds were very hard to incorporate into our film because its only 

supposed to be an intro/ beginning and our theme was to portray a teenager with a 

complicated mindset and very mixed emotions.

Throughout the editing process Joel and Ricardo helped me with the sounds too because they 

would give suggestions and tell me how something would make the film look and sound more put 

together since they did the editing for the entire sound project last time.
